CLARKS HILL – Walter Maguire, 80, of Rt. 1, Clarks Hill, was dead on arrival at Home Hospital at Lafayette at 11:45 p.m. Sunday. He had been in failing health for 15 months. Mr. Maguire was a retired farmer. He was born July 27 1892, in Montgomery County to James and Fannie Graham Maguire. He was married to Eunice Stover on Sept. 15, 1913, at Danville, Ill. She survives. Surviving besides the widow are a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Virginia) Gordon of Rt. 6, Lafayette; four brothers, Earl and Lloyd of Rt. 1, Clarks Hill, Lora of Rt. 6, Crawfordsville and Floyd of Lafayette; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Dickerson Funeral Home at Stockwell with the Rev. David McCord officiating. Burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery at Darlington. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Tuesday. – jlr
